Toyota vehicles recall about 460,000 cars in the United States because of a security flaw that could cause an accident. They are going to fix it. In addition, some Lexus NX450h+ and LS500h/LX600h/NX350h/NX450h+ cars have been taken off the road because of a possible safety risk.
There is a lot of electronic stability control software at the heart of the recall at Toyota. Unfortunately, a software error stops the Toyota Vehicle Stability Control system from working when the car is turned on. As a result, the system won’t work, and the drivers won’t be able to take full control.
Dealers for Toyota and Lexus will be able to change the software on the Skid Control ECU for free, the company says. Then, by the middle of June 2022, they plan to start telling people who have been affected.
In the United States, more than 460,000 Toyota vehicles have been recalled because of a software mistake that can make the cars less safe to drive.
Nexus N.X. Safety Recall
In 2022, Toyota will have to do a lot more than fix a problem with the software. All of the hybrid/electric/PHEV models in the U.S. for the 2022 N.X. have been added to a new notice. All 4,000 cars that have spot welds found to be bad are being recalled.
As the automaker said in a press release on April 13th, some of the front shock absorber spot welds may not be there on some cars. As a result, putting the panels together the wrong way could make them move, leading to accidents.
Take your car to a Lexus dealer to be checked out. If you have a problem, you’ll be told as soon as a fix is ready by Toyota.
The company says that customers will start hearing from the company in June of 2022.
Kia did a recall this year because of an airbag problem. Because of a problem with the gas pump, over 5.84 million Toyota vehicles had to be taken out of service in 2020. Models made between July and September 2017 were affected by the recall, but not all of them. There might have been problems with the gas pump that made it hard for cars to start. The gas pump was eventually replaced with a new one by the dealers.

NHTSA could fine carmakers if they mislead customers about how many cars they would be putting on the market for repair. They also examined importers of cars that don’t meet U.S. Department of Transportation safety rules.
